Pre-med at Oklahoma State is a statement of intent that demonstrates an interest in
exploring a professional education in a health care related field after completing
studies at OSU. These fields range from medical school and other professional schools
such as physician assistant, dentistry, athletic training and forensic science to
health care administration and many others.
Why pre-med at OSU?
OSU's pre-med resources help students develop into holistically prepared candidates,
provide guidance about the admissions process and help connect students with peers
and professional organizations to get involved and learn more about opportunities
in health care fields.
"As an undergraduate, I was able to focus my time and efforts into school and explore
interests that I felt passionate about without worrying about whether or not it would
be enough for me to get into medical school. It has also offered me an immense amount
of reassurance. I was given such a wonderful opportunity that was very motivating.
OSU-COM has provided a place for me to grow in many aspects of my life that would
never have been possible at another medical school. The faculty and my friends have
made this journey a million times easier to be successful." - Haley Riley, OSU undergraduate
