Ribbon cutting ceremony held for medical school at the Cherokee Nation

Oklahoma State University and the Cherokee Nation celebrated another milestone in their long partnership with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah. The school is the first tribally affiliated medical school in the country with a focus on educating primary care physicians who have an interest in serving rural and underserved populations.
NASA award to bring earth and space science to Native American communities

Native American communities, storytelling and earth and space curriculum are set to combine in an ambitious project made possible through a $3.3 million National Aeronautics and Space Administration cooperative agreement with Oklahoma State University College of Education and Human Sciences. The ‘Native Earth-Sky’ Program will teach Native American students the all-important STEM disciplines -- earth and space science, technology, engineering and math.
OSU-Stillwater announces spring 2021 commencement details

As the world makes progress in the battle against the pandemic, OSU Stillwater spring commencement ceremonies are slated to be held outdoors May 7-8 at Boone Pickens Stadium. A number of health and safety protocols will be in place for the in-person ceremonies. In addition to celebrating spring and summer degree candidates, the university is inviting class of 2020 graduates to participate. The university has also announced plans to hold in-person classes for fall 2021 semester.
