Grants
A grant is a type of gift aid that does not require repayment. Need-based grants are determined by the information you provide to us on the FAFSA. Filing the FAFSA is the only application required to be considered for the specific grant programs.
Pell Grant
- Awarded to students with exceptional financial need
- Must be enrolled in at least 1 hour each semester; amount varies based on enrollment level
- Must be in a degree seeking program

- Enrolled courses must count toward your degree
- Students can receive the award for a maximum of 12 full-time semesters
- Information for incarcerated or former incarcerated students
SEOG
- Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
- Awarded to students with exceptional financial need
- Limited funds
- Pell Grant recipients receive priority
- Must be enrolled in at least 1 hour each semester
- Must be in a degree seeking program

- Enrolled courses must count toward your degree
OTAG
- Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant
- Awarded to students who demonstrate financial need, based on the FAFSA
- Must be in a degree seeking program

- Enrolled courses must count toward your degree
- Must have not exceeded the allowable number of semesters for federal Pell Grant eligibility
Oklahoma's Promise
- Oklahoma resident
- Eligibility determined by Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE)
- Student's must complete their application with OSRHE during their 8th, 9th or 10th grade year
- Refer to OSRHE for income requirements
- OK Promise
Cowboy Covenant
- Be eligible for Oklahoma's Promise each semester
- Be fully admitted or alternatively admitted to OSU
- Students admitted under the Alternative Admit provision are not considered to be fully admitted for purposes of Oklahoma's Promise during their first semester.
- File the FAFSA and demonstrate financial need
- Enroll as a full-time undergraduate each semester (fall/spring)

TEACH Grant
- Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education Grant
- For students who are/will be taking coursework necessary to become elementary or secondary teachers
- Must agree to serve, for a minimum of four years (within eight years of completing academic program), as a full-time teacher in a high-need field in a school that serves low-income students
- Must meet certain academic achievement requirements
- Failure to complete the teaching service commitment will result in the grant funds being converted to a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loan that must be repaid
