How to apply

  • All incoming undergraduate transfer students who are admitted are automatically considered for scholarships.
  • Scholarship selection criteria vary, but can include number of transfer credits earned as well as college GPA.

Transfer scholarships

Award Description Value Eligibility
Regents Distinguished Transfer Scholarship (Oklahoma residents only)
  • Renewable for up to two years with a 2.0 overall GPA.
  • No academic area of emphasis required.

$2,500 ($5,000 two-year total) Must have 24+ transferable credit hours AND a 3.25 college GPA
Transfer Out-of-State Achievement Scholarship* (Out-of-State only)
  • Renewable for up to two years with a 2.0 overall GPA.
  • No academic area of emphasis required.
$7,000 ($14,000 two-year total) Must have 24+ transferable credit hours AND a 3.25 college GPA
Transfer Out-of-State Legacy Scholarship* (Out-of-State only)
  • Renewable for up to three years with a 2.0 overall GPA.
  • No academic area of emphasis required.
$5,000 ($15,000 three-year total) Out-of-state students whose parents or grandparents graduated from OSU are eligible.Alumni Legacy Certification Form (PDF)
Transfer Out-of-State Legacy Achievement Scholarship* (Out-of-State only)
  • Renewable for up to three years with a 2.0 overall GPA.
  • No academic area of emphasis required.
$7,000 each of the first two years and $5,000 if year three is necessary ($19,000 three-year total) Out-of-state students whose parents or grandparents graduated from OSU are eligible. Must have 24+ transferable credit hours AND a 3.25 college GPA.Alumni Legacy Certification Form (PDF)
  • You must maintain a minimum GPA and number of credit hours per semester to renew scholarship opportunities each year. Renewable qualifications may vary.
  • *Students eligible for both the Transfer Out-of-State Achievement Scholarship and the Transfer Out-of-State Legacy Scholarship will only receive the scholarship that provides the greatest benefit to the student.

 

Scholarship deadlines

  • Fall-entering students

    Feb. 1 for priority scholarship consideration;

    July 1 for final scholarship deadline.

    May 1 is the College Decision Date. Some scholarships must be accepted by this date or they may be cancelled.

  • Spring-entering students

    Oct. 15 for priority scholarship consideration; the Friday before spring classes begin is the final scholarship deadline.
