The international agribusiness option provides an understanding of internationally-based
companies and government agencies, as well as a foreign language.
Why international agribusiness?
If you are interested in working internationally after graduation, this option will
give you an understanding of international agricultural trade and will help you develop
a foundation of internationally developed business practices.
You’ll receive a hands-on education, which may include job shadowing, development
of economic models, interviews with department alumni and real-world project experience
such as farm real estate appraisal and marketing feasibility of products for a real
firm.
Fast fact
Agricultural Economics partnered with China Agricultural University (CAU) in 2011
to provide students the opportunity to study and benefit from the academic and cultural
environment of both institutions. CAU students may obtain a degree from both institutions,
and OSU students also have the opportunity to study at CAU for a semester or year.
