What is global studies?

The Global Studies degree at OSU educates you on local and global topics while learning about contemporary cultures and working with people in diverse backgrounds.

Why global studies at OSU?

This degree offers you four distinct emphases for coursework: Culture, the Arts and Humanities; Geopolitical and Global Economy; or Global Sustainability. You will have the option to fulfill course requirements abroad by either following a traditional semester study abroad path through the Oklahoma State Study Abroad Office, or by enrolling in shorter one- or two-week courses led by department faculty.

Career paths

Students majoring in Global Studies pursue jobs within the United States and abroad. They seek careers with local, state or federal agencies, in the private sector, or with non-governmental and charitable organizations. A Global Studies major is also a good way to prepare for law school or graduate study.
