Freshman Dates and Deadlines
At Oklahoma State, we accept applications on a rolling admission basis, so there's no application deadline. We encourage you to apply early for maximum scholarship consideration.
Fall-entering students
These important dates and deadlines will help keep you on track if you plan on attending OSU in the fall. See dates and deadlines for spring-entering students.

July 1 - OSU Application opens
Students who have completed their junior year in high school can begin applying for the upcoming year.

Aug. 1 - Common Application opens
All incoming first-time freshman students can begin applying for the upcoming year.

Nov. 1 - Early Opportunity Scholarship Deadline
The Early Opportunity Scholarship Deadline is Nov. 1, and all scholarship materials must be submitted by Feb. 1 to ensure scholarship consideration for fall-entering students. Learn more about completing your file.
- Dec. 1 - FAFSA opens
The FAFSA will become fully available to all students and families by Dec. 1. Once available, you and your family should fill out the FAFSA using OSU's school code of 003170 to maximize scholarship and financial aid opportunities.

Dec. 1 - Enrollment deposit opens
Once admitted, your $300 enrollment deposit secures your spot at OSU and allows you to register for housing and orientation and enrollment in the spring. Room assignments will be based on your housing preferences and the date and time you submitted your enrollment deposit.
Students who are eligible for a Pell Grant as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid will complete the online process and may have the enrollment deposit deferred. Your enrollment deposit can be refunded in part ($250) until May 1.

Feb. 1 - Priority Scholarship Deadline
You must submit all application materials (including the essay and leadership and involvement resume) by this deadline for full scholarship consideration at OSU. Learn more about completing your file.

Feb. 1 - Orientation and enrollment registration opens
Once you've submitted your enrollment deposit, it's time to register for your required orientation and enrollment session. Sessions begin in late spring and run through the summer. During your session, you'll meet with academic advisors, confirm your academic college and major, enroll in classes, meet other new students and learn about campus resources.

Feb. 1 - Housing registration opens
Once you’ve submitted your enrollment deposit, you can register for housing and apply for one of our Living Learning Programs.
You'll select your housing preferences at this time, and we'll begin making room assignments in the spring based on your preferences and the date/time you submitted your enrollment deposit. Explore your living options.
At this time, you'll also choose your meal plan.
Please note, all incoming first-time freshmen are required to live in OSU housing. Learn more about housing exemptions.
- April 1 - Priority Housing Registration Deadline
First-time freshmen who register for housing by April 1 will receive their fall housing assignment the week of April 21 and are more likely to be paired with their preferred roommate.
Please note, those who register for housing after this deadline can still create a roommate pair but are less likely to be paired with their preferred roommate.

Late April - Room assignments begin
Room assignments start in late spring and continue through the summer. Your assignment is based on your housing preferences and the date and time you submitted your enrollment deposit.
Those who registered for housing by the April 1 Priority Housing Registration Deadline will receive their housing assignment the week of April 21. Those who registered after April 1 will receive their housing assignment on a weekly, rolling basis beginning in late April.

May 1 - College Decision Day
We encourage you to submit your enrollment deposit and register for housing and orientation by May 1.
Some scholarships and financial aid must be accepted by May 1 or they will be canceled.
Contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by May 1 to cancel your enrollment and receive a partial refund ($250) of your enrollment deposit.
