The Orange Brick Road: Reflections for the Journey Ahead

• Hosted by Ashten Hendrix and Lexi Stephenson

This session invites staff to explore their reflections and aspirations through a creative "time capsule" activity. Each person will record their thoughts, seal them in an orange envelope and place it on the Orange Brick Road board that represents the journey ahead. At Summer Training next year, participants will open their envelopes to revisit what they wrote and see how they've grown. The session will include time for both individual reflection and group discussions, with prompts focused on community, connection and service, encouraging staff to consider what they've learned, where they want to grow and their impact on the OSU community.

• Assessment is for Everyone: Using Data to Drive Decision-Making (Hosted by David Mariott)

  • Assessment is a practice to provide systematic approaches to analyzing data to inform decision-making. However, staff can lack the basic data analysis skills needed to summarize and present their findings. This session will provide some basic tools and resources that every practitioner can utilize to complete basic data analysis for both quantitative and qualitative assessment projects.
