Oklahoma State University is excited to join the Common Application beginning Aug. 1, 2023. The Common Application conveniently allows you to apply to more than one institution using the same standardized admission application.

- Who can apply?
All incoming first-time freshman students applying for undergraduate admission to OSU. This includes first-time freshman international students.
- When can I apply?
The application will be available on Aug. 1, 2023 for incoming first-time freshmen to apply to OSU for spring, summer or fall 2024 terms.
- Where can I find the application?
You can access the application at apply.okstate.edu or commonapp.org.
- What are the deadlines?
- Can application fee waivers be used?
Yes, if you qualify for a waiver through ACT, SAT, and NACAC, you can upload your waiver to your application. Learn more about OSU's application fee waiver process.
Note: If you are an international student, you are not eligible for an application fee waiver. The international student application fee is $90 and nonrefundable. It must be paid before your application can be processed. You may pay online with a VISA or Mastercard.
- Are the essay prompts different?
No, the essay prompts are the same on the Common Application and the OSU application. By submitting one essay response as well as your leadership and involvement resume, you'll receive maximum scholarship consideration. Learn more about OSU's application essay.
- Will I still be eligible for scholarships?
Yes, the Common App serves as your admission and scholarship application. However, we highly recommend you provide your essay response and leadership and involvement resume to receive maximum scholarship consideration.
Your leadership and involvement resume must be submitted separately via the OSU application portal after submitting your Common App. We'll email you instructions to create your log-in credentials and complete this important step within two days of receiving your application.
