What is sports management?

The sports industry is a growing segment of our economy. Whether at the amateur, minor league or professional level, sports organizations are in need of graduates who are business savvy. Sports enterprises are becoming increasingly concerned with their business dealings, and they need employees who have expertise in both business management and the sports industry. 

Why study sports management at OSU?

As a competitive advantage, our sports management program is one of the few in the country that is housed within a business management department. Our classes offer students the opportunity to gain important business management skills while learning about the unique nature of sports organizations.

Sports Management Club

The Sports Management Club offers a strong networking branch for both sports management and other business programs at OSU. Professionals from all over the sports industry from the OKC Thunder to EA Sports have spoken and networked with OSU students at club meetings. 

 

Eastin Center for Career Readiness

Through the Eastin Center, OSU supports students’ professional growth from awareness to knowledge acquisition, practice and ultimately successful implementation.

 

Industry Immersion Programs
