Why multimedia journalism at OSU?
In OSU’s multimedia journalism program, you will receive hands-on experience with
the tools and techniques of photography, cinema, audio and video production, while
also learning to be a critical-thinker and an excellent writer. You will create multimedia
projects using all of the multimedia elements required of today’s journalists. You
will learn how to combine words with images, video and sound to tell compelling stories.
Upon graduation from the School of Media and Strategic Communications are able to
meet the diverse communications needs of any media outlet. You are able to create
and maintain a professional portfolio that is turned in as part of the senior capstone
course. The professional portfolio is a critical tool for you to showcase your media
