30+ ACT or 1360+ SAT AND 3.0 unweighted HS GPA

25-26 ACT or 1200-1250 SAT AND 3.0 unweighted HS GPA

24 ACT or 1160-1190 SAT AND 3.0 unweighted HS GPA

$8,000 per year ($32,000 four-year total)

3.75-4.0 unweighted HS GPA - GPA ONLY: no test scores required

$7,000 per year ($28,000 four-year total)

3.5-3.74 unweighted HS GPA - GPA ONLY: no test scores required

Alumni Legacy Scholarship-a four-year partial out-of-state tuition waiver.

Available to students whose parents or grandparents graduated from OSU. Alumni Legacy Certification Form (PDF)

  • ACT and SAT scores are computed without the essay score. Official ACT Superscores provided by ACT will be accepted for scholarship consideration.
  • Students may only receive the award with the highest value they are eligible for from the University Assured Scholarship or Partnered Scholarship categories.

Award Description Value Eligibility
Oklahoma State Regents' Institutional Nominee (OSRHE) A five-year full tuition waiver and four-year cash award funded by the state. Limited number available. Up to $91,600

Qualifying criteria set annually by the State Regents in late fall. See OSU Institutional Nominee information and okhighered.org/academic-scholars for details.

National Merit Scholarship A five-year full tuition waiver and a combination of state, university, and National Merit funding. Up to $147,700 The National Merit Scholarship Corporation determines requirements and eligibility. National Merit finalists must select OSU as their first choice. See nationalmerit.org  and OSU National Merit information for details.

University Competitive

Award Description Value Eligibility
Academic College Scholarships Value and terms vary by academic college and department. Varied Based on the major you indicate on your application for admission. Selection may be based on a number of factors, including test scores and GPA, leadership and community service, essays, interviews and/or auditions.
President's Distinguished Scholarship A four-year cash award. Up to $2,500 per year (Up to $10,000 four-year total) Highly competitive selection. Requires a minimum 3.75 GPA, a 27 ACT or 1260 SAT score and a strong record of leadership as indicated on the application for admission.
President's Leadership Council (PLC) Scholarship A one-year cash award. Students serve on the President's Leadership Council. $1,500 total Highly competitive selection. Requires a strong record of leadership and community service as indicated on the application for admission.
  • If selected, students may receive either the President's Distinguished Scholarship OR the President's Leadership Council Scholarship. Either award may be paired with other university scholarships.
