The PhD in Electrical Engineering at OSU is designed for students who wish to pursue
research as an occupation in industrial or governmental laboratories, or for those
who wish to have an academic career that emphasizes teaching and/or research. The
focus of the program is on original and novel research that culminates in the publication
of a dissertation.
Dr. Ying Zhang, assistant professor of electrical engineering, has received a $1.1
million grant from National Science Foundation for the project "Accelerating Community-Centric
Energy Transformation through Artificial Intelligence-Driven Digital Twinning for
Climate-Aware Resilience.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants are strongly encouraged
to submit application materials at least six months prior to the start of the semester.
OSU and the Stillwater community in general are especially affordable places for graduate
students. Oklahoma State University's estimation of a graduate student's annual costs
is $18,820 for Oklahoma residents, $29,150 for out-of-state students, and $34,588
for international students.
