Get certified in workforce and adult education
This graduate certificate is designed for professionals in both industry-based and educational adult learning environments,
including technical educators, higher education personnel, career and occupations
counselors and workforce development professionals. Learn to provide administration
and evaluation of adult education programs to equip you to strengthen the adult workforce.
This program builds your knowledge of adult learner characteristics, including instructional
strategies and curriculum design for adult learners.
Successful completion of the certificate program requires 12 credit hours (four courses)
of graduate-level coursework. Credit hours are transferable to the following master's degree program:
Courses are offered fully online as well as on the OSU Stillwater and Tulsa campuses,
with many opportunities for peer-to-peer collaboration. Online courses are delivered through Canvas, OSU's online learning platform.

WAED 5153: Curriculum Planning in Occupational Education
WAED 5353: Instructional Strategies for Adults

Transcripts from all previously attended institutions (undergraduate degree from an
accredited university with a minimum 3.0 GPA required; applicants with a 2.5 to 3.0
GPA may be admitted on a probationary basis)
