Traveling to Stillwater? We can't wait to welcome you!

The Stillwater Regional Airport (SWO) is located less than 10 minutes from the OSU campus and provides daily nonstop flights to and from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on American Airlines. We encourage you to book one of these flights. The nearest international airports are in Oklahoma City and Tulsa (located 70 miles/110 kilometers from Stillwater).

To assist you with your travels, we are offering airport pickup for incoming fall 2026 students on August 9 and 10. This service will provide ground transportation directly to the OSU campus at no additional cost. To take advantage of this service, please register by Sunday, August 2, 2026.

International Arrival Dates

Admitted international students are required to arrive at OSU on the designated arrival dates.

Students who register for airport pickup will be met at Stillwater Regional Airport by university representatives and assisted with transportation to campus.

Please note: Airport pickup is only available at the start of the fall (August) and spring (January) semesters.

Recommended Packing List

Below are our recommendations for essential items to pack, as well as some optional items to bring with you to Oklahoma State University. You can also learn more about a complete move-in guide. If you have any questions, please contact us. 

  • Carry-on
    • Required documents: Passport, I-20 and receipt for SEVIS I-901 and Immunization records
    • Necessary medications and prescriptions
    • Electronics: Laptop, cell phone, charger, USB flash drive and headphones
  • Checked baggage
    • Personal hygiene supplies: Toothpaste, toothbrush, lotions, band-aids, shampoo, etc.
    • Bath towels, hand towels and washcloths
    • Toiletries
    • Bedding: Pillows, pillowcases, sheets, blankets, etc.
    • Clothes, shoes and socks
      *Oklahoma lies in a subtropical climate with hot and humid summer months and cool winters.
    • School supplies: Pens, pencils, notebooks and backpack
    • Personal belongings: Photos of family and friends, books, etc.

Live bus tracking and detailed bus arrival times
OSU-Stillwater Community Transit (Blue Route): OSU provides transit service from 6:20 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, throughout the academic year. The fare is $.75 per trip.
Lyft
The commonly used Lyft and Uber rideshare services are available in Stillwater. Make sure to download and set up the Lyft or Uber app before arrival. You can use the free Wi-Fi in the Stillwater Regional Airport to request a ride.

Oklahoma City Will Rogers Airport

Taxis are located curbside outside between the baggage claim areas. These services are NOT FREE and require cash in U.S. currency or a credit card.
Oklahoma City Airport Express (blue van)
This is a charter service and is available at any time of the day. Their office is located near the baggage claim area. The fare is approximately $115 for travel to Stillwater. If there is more than one passenger in the van, the fare will be split among the passengers. Phone number is +1405-681-3311.

Yellow Cab Taxi Service
You can reach the Yellow Cab Taxi service by phone: +1405-232-6161. The fare from Oklahoma City to Stillwater will be between $110 and $130.

Tulsa International Airport
