Once a Cowboy, Always a Cowboy

The death of a member of our Cowboy Family is tragic and the university is committed to responding with care and support. Grieving family, friends, and loved ones might require various supports to help cope with the loss and begin the healing process. It is a difficult time for the family, friends, and our campus community. We are here to support each other as we grieve the loss of a Cowboy.

Remembrance service

Every spring, the division of student affairs works with campus partners to hold a memorial service to honor current students and employees who have passed away during the past year. The service includes words from university administrators and a reciting of the students’ and employees' names.
