What is early child care & development?

Early Child Care and Development specialists create environments that are healthy, respectful, supportive and challenging for young children. Specialists design, implement, and evaluate experiences to promote positive development for children.

Why early care & development at OSU?

This 100 percent online undergraduate degree program prepares students to work in early childhood settings with young children, especially those whose family members are highly mobile. Students in the program participate in three practicum experiences that provide exposure to real-life scenarios.

The 100% online undergraduate program is delivered collaboratively by seven universities through the Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance (Great Plains IDEA).
