Victims Advocates are a confidential and safe reporting option
The OSU victim advocates confidentiality provide support to students who have experienced any type of sexual violence. Victim Advocates can provide information about on and off campus resources, reporting options, and provide support for students during a SANE exam.
Victims Advocates are a vital part of the sexual violence reporting process
Victims Advocates support victims in the following ways:
- Meet with students who have experienced any type of sexual violence.
- Provide information about on and off campus resources for sexual violence victims.
- Discuss reporting options and support in the reporting process.
- Provide support for students during a sexual assault nurse examination (SANE).
Victim Advocates can be reached Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 405-564-2129 or by email at advocate@okstate.edu
During evenings and weekends, students can contact Wings of Hope for advocacy services at 405-624-3020.
Oklahoma State University ensures that the Victim Advocates are a confidential reporting option for any student experiencing sexual violence. Please know that a Victim Advocate is not required to report any information about an incident to the Title IX Coordinator without a victim’s permission. However, the Victim Advocate support you by reporting incidents, without personally identifiable information, to OSU Police for the purpose of the Clery Act.
