The Stillwater PD is here to help

The Stillwater Police Department takes reports of sexual violence seriously.  First, students who wish to report will talk to a dispatcher to go over preliminary details of the incident. A responding officer will talk to the reportee, take notes, and ask questions. Then, a few days later, a detective will follow up to gather more information. Stillwater PD wants to empower the reportee by allowing them to choose how or if the investigation moves forward, and honoring that decision.

On-campus support is here for you

If you need help through this process,” before Victim Advocates can be reached Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 405-564-2129 or by email at advocate@okstate.edu. Students can also find support in 328 Student Union.

During the evening and on the weekends, students can contact Wings of Hope for advocacy services at 405-624-3020.

Student Support and Conduct can assist students in reporting the incident to the police, implement a no contact order between two involved parties, and assist with obtaining a court-ordered emergency protective order. They can also implement supportive measures, including rearranging living arrangements, academic assistance, altering campus work schedules, and connecting students to counseling services.
