Orange is the Answer

Oklahoma State University is leading the state in agricultural research and ensuring that our state will always have the resources to be on the cutting edge of agricultural education, technology and Extension services. As a land-grant institution, our research efforts through OSU Ag Research, OSU Extension and the Ferguson College of Agriculture result in science-based knowledge and technology developed to improve the lives of Oklahomans. It is a community effort — our research is a collaboration between farmers and ranchers, agricultural commodity groups, industry, state agencies and federal competitive grants.

Where does learning meet the land?

Orange is the Answer. The OSU Student Farm's mission is to sustainably feed the community by providing access to fresh produce. A multitude of degree programs, courses and volunteer opportunities at the Student Farm provide hands-on learning experiences to students outside the classroom and connect faculty experts, peers and community members.

Who advances the livestock and food industries?

Orange is the Answer. The U.S. Department of Agriculture National Institute of Food and Agriculture awarded a combined $4 million in grant funds to support Oklahoma State University Ag Research projects in animal and veterinary sciences. These research projects pave the way for innovation across the agricultural, animal and veterinary industries. From creating efficient forage users to studying genome differences and antibiotic alternatives, these OSU researchers are solving global issues.

Where can students become the future of the agriculture industry?

Orange is the Answer. OSU’s new Agricultural Hall, home of the Ferguson College of Agriculture, has transformed OSU Agriculture's research, teaching and Extension missions. This state-of-the-art facility has become a true "destination building" where collaborative teams thrive in shared laboratories, students build stronger relationships with faculty, and innovative learning happens in engaging spaces. Agricultural Hall isn't just equipping the next generation of agricultural leaders — it's inspiring them.

Who helps Oklahoma farmers increase their yields?

Orange is the Answer. Meet Orange Blossom CL+, the latest game-changing wheat variety from OSU's Wheat Improvement Team. This isn't just another wheat variety — it's packing higher yields, and it's tough enough to fight off disease while giving farmers flexible dual-purpose grazing options. Since 2000, OSU scientists have released 39 commercial wheat varieties, and today more than 70 percent of Oklahoma's wheat fields are growing OSU-developed varieties. That's the power of OSU Agriculture at work.

Where can you find the latest in food safety and innovation?
