  • What is the OSU System Integration Effort?
    Oklahoma State University is engaged in a multi-year effort to better align and integrate key service functions across the OSU System. This work began in August 2025 and supports the university’s mission, land-grant values and long-term strategic direction by strengthening how services are delivered across all institutions.
  • Why did this work begin?
    The integration effort was initiated as part of the university’s continued implementation of priorities outlined in OSU’s previous strategic plan, which called for strengthening the university as a coordinated system. As higher education evolves, OSU is examining how it operates to ensure services remain effective, sustainable and responsive.
  • Which areas are currently engaged in integration?
    Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, and Finance Administration are currently engaged in this phase of the integration effort. Additional functional areas may be considered in future phases as part of the broader systemwide approach.
  • Is this a reorganization?
    Yes. This initiative represents a thoughtful reorganization of select service functions across the OSU System to improve alignment, coordination and service quality. The goal is to strengthen how we support faculty, staff and students while maintaining the local knowledge and relationships that are essential to our campuses and communities.
  • How is faculty and staff input being included?
    Listening to engagement is a key component of the integration process. Faculty and staff are being involved through listening sessions, leadership discussions and ongoing communication within each functional area. Input from across institutions helps inform planning and implementation.
  • Will this result in immediate changes?
    This is a phased, multi-year effort. While planning and coordination are underway, there are no immediate, systemwide changes associated with this website. Updates will be shared as appropriate through established channels.
  • How are branch campuses included in this work?
    Branch campuses are included in the integration effort. While the overall approach is systemwide, processes may be adapted to reflect operational, regulatory or staffing needs at different locations.
  • How does this initiative connect to the strategic planning process?
    The integration effort builds on priorities from the previous strategic plan and also supports the development of OSU’s next strategic plan. Aligning services across the system helps strengthen the university’s capacity to advance its mission and long-term goals.
  • Where can I find updates as this work continues?
    This website will be updated as appropriate as the integration effort progresses. Faculty and staff are encouraged to return to this page for future information and to continue engaging through existing leadership and campus communication channels.
