Program-Specific Admission Criteria

Some academic colleges and programs have specific admission criteria beyond the standard undergraduate admissions requirements or may require additional steps to be admitted to a program or major. 


College of Arts and Sciences

Freshman and transfer admission to the following programs requires a separate audition process with the department: 

 

College of Education and Human Sciences

Students pursuing the Professional Pilot major option are admitted to Aerospace Administration and Operations and then moved to Professional Pilot if admitted through the required secondary application process

 

Transfer Students

College of Education and Human Sciences

Any transfer student who is admitted to OSU, but does not meet the specific requirements for their major within the College of Education and Human Sciences will be admitted as an undeclared student within the college. Major-specific admission requirements are included below: 

 

Program/Major Criteria
  • 30 hours or less: 2.0 GPA
  • 31-45 hours: 2.25 GPA
  • 46+ hours: 2.5 GPA

2.5 GPA

Students are admitted to Aerospace Administration and Operations and moved to Professional Pilot if admitted through secondary application process

Students are admitted to Pre-BSN and moved to RN to BSN if approved by college. 

Seven semester hours of college-level credit and 2.5 GPA
