About the OSU Portfolio

The OSU Portfolio is a tool to track, manage and make meaning of students' development of the Ideal Graduate competencies. This tool allows students to showcase their competency development through meaningful reflection. The use of the portfolio will indicate a student’s successful engagement with activities and will support students in effectively articulating the value of their experiences. Further, the OSU Portfolio can be used in internship and job searches to showcase evidence of students’ skills and abilities to potential employers.

How faculty and staff can use it

Faculty can seamlessly integrate the OSU Portfolio into their courses by framing coursework around the Ideal Graduate competencies. By including portfolio-building activities, assignments, and reflections that align with course objectives, faculty can enrich the portfolio with tangible evidence of academic progress. This approach helps students articulate their growth in alignment with their career aspirations.

Faculty and staff can utilize resources and tools such as the competency matrix, meaningful reflection activities and tailored prompts listed below to guide students in their development of the Ideal Graduate competencies.
