This guide is your road map to navigating the financial aid process.

Follow these steps to receive scholarships and other forms of aid at Oklahoma State University.

1. Apply for aid

OSU admission/scholarships and FAFSA
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to find out how much funding you're eligible to receive from Federal and state sources, and see information on additional scholarships for current and incoming students.

2. Receive and review your award

Stay informed
You'll receive award notifications for the upcoming academic year through your official OSU email address. Learn what steps to take to review your award offers online.

3. Accept aid

Confirm your aid package
To receive the funding you've been offered, log in to accept your awards before the deadlines. Most can be accepted through our online system, but follow the instructions for each award. Awards are made on a rolling timeline, so check back regularly.

4. Receive aid

"Disbursement" of aid
OSU scholarships, grants and loans are credited (disbursed) to your University account with the OSU Bursar’s Office. These payments will go directly towards your tuition.

Changes to aid

Adjustments, allowances and refunds
There's a chance your estimated costs could change based on special classifications, military benefits or other applicable refunds. Your aid eligibility can also change if you withdraw from courses before the semester ends.
