April 30
Construction crews are preparing the building foundation for concrete placement. Underground electrical and plumbing is nearing completion, including key building connections and installation of a new electrical manhole for the main power line. The elevator pit has also been waterproofed and equipped with drainage.
Remaining underground utility work is being completed ahead of upcoming concrete slab pours.
March 31
Utility work continued as remaining tie-ins were being finished, and preparations were made for sidewalk replacement along Washington Street. The building pad progressed, reaching final grade in preparation for foundation activities.
A major milestone achieved was the drilling and pouring of concrete piers for the building foundation. Crews began forming and preparing for grade beam foundation placement, with layout and initial formwork underway.
Up next, grade beam placement will occur along with continued underground plumbing and electrical installations within the building footprint.
February 28
The successful completion of the hot water tie-in, along with sidewalk and pavement replacement associated with the chilled water tie-in. At the main site location, crews began demolition and removal of existing site paving, followed by excavation and placement or the trade-partner parking lot, as well as installation of the jobsite trailer. Excavation of the building pad to grade also began during this period.
Boring operations for the project were completed this month, as installation of the hot water line tie-in was finalized. Piping installation concluded shortly thereafter, with sidewalk and paving replacement scheduled to begin following backfill operations.
January 31
Progress continued with the successful completion of the chilled water tie-in, along with the safe removal of trench boxes at the chilled water tap side, located on west side of Washington Street. Operations such as sidewalk replacement, relocation of temporary power poles, and boring operations for the hot water line are being initiated. Phase 2 utilities were staked and marked to identify water lines and required gas relocations in preparation for future work.
