Doctorate in Business Administration option in Finance

A Ph.D. in business administration with a concentration in finance prepares students for careers in academia, business or government. A successful student will demonstrate research competency and develop teaching skills. The small class size allows for extensive personal interaction with faculty as well as maintaining the quality of the program. Our graduates have benefited from this approach with an assortment of attractive employment opportunities.

Curriculum

  • The 60 credit hour program is for candidates who have completed a master’s degree prior to beginning the doctoral program.

Admissions

The Finance Department has its own set of requirements for admittance, along with requirements for the OSU Graduate College. The Ph.D. program places primary attention on competency rather than formal credit hours. Please see department based requirements below:

  • The application deadline is Feb. 1.
  • GMAT or GRE test scores.
  • Sample of writing skills such as a term paper.
  • Statement of career goals in a a maximum of three pages.
