What is sports and coaching science?

Sports and coaching science equips students for certification via various sports organizations relevant to their athletic area of interest and prepares them for careers in athletic coaching and ancillary fields.

Why sports and coaching science at OSU?

Oklahoma State is one of only four universities in the country to offer an undergraduate degree in sports and coaching science. Courses are taught from a practical learning approach and students are exposed to numerous internship opportunities, including working in professional, collegiate or secondary sport organizations as well as elite training facilities, athletic league officiating or small businesses.

Career paths

Graduates can work with high performance sports and intramural athletics as well as hold roles in administration and facilities management. Those who pursue additional graduate education may find careers in sport psychology, athletic training, strength and conditioning, collegiate coaching and sports management.
