And even though money isn’t the only measure of success, these roles often provide very lucrative careers. Although personality plays a role, professional selling skills can be developed by almost anyone and applied almost everywhere.

Professional selling and sales management is such an important topic for marketing students that two courses are offered. A professional selling course provides students with “hands-on” training in the process of selling. A sales management course addresses the control and development of sales forces.
